So following  up on the release of 2nd full length album (10th May)  The EMPTY PAGE  do an 'Official Manchester album launch' gig.

This a band been following from early days (when under another  name) seeing them live in pubs. This gig was upgraded  to the larger  Pink  Room  from  the basement  stage at venue.

The set begins with Big Nasty Palpitations, and if you  ever been to an Empty Page gig , you will surely end up with palpitations  by end.

For this gig a keyboard player  added on stage, this gave bands sound a new dimension.

Your Tame & Deeply  Unlovable  quickly  followed.

The pace slowed a little  for the song  Life Is A Wave . Majority  of songs in hour long set came from new album, IMPLODING, with Big Wheel & Wardrobe Malfunction off 1st album, UNFOLDING, also in set.

With his unique  style  of guitar  playing GIZ bounds around stage, while Singer/bassist  KEL maintains her stance to right of stage.

It took a while  for the appreciative audience to get moving about, but by the last 3 songs  - Cock Of The 5th  Year , When The Cloud Explodes &  the discoesqe song Dry Ice, the majority  were  singing/bopping  along.

Overall for me this was one of the best live performances  by The  Empty Page  seen.

Good stage lighting, especially  on  'I'm a White Hot Blade (Witches are Wicked)'.

The band are undoubtedly  proud to be a totally  independent  band and do things their way.
